About Us

The Alpha Lambda chapter of Theta Xi was initially founded in 1932 at the University of Alabama. When the Walk of Champions was being constructed next to Bryant Denny Stadium, our house was purchased by the University and we were dissolved shortly after. In the Spring of 2021, a group of 12 men decided to bring our chapter back to campus where we have remained since.

About Our Fraternity

Theta Xi Fraternity started in 1864 at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. Since then, it has expanded to over 40 different schools nationwide and has initiated over 60,000 members. If you would like to learn more about the history of our fraternity, click here.

Spring 2024


In the Spring of 2024, Theta Xi was approved to move into an on campus house on Jefferson Avenue for the Fall of 2025.


Spring 2023


In the Spring of 2023, The Alpha Lambda colony was officially chartered by headquarters, becoming the Alpha Lambda chapter.


Spring 2021


In the Spring of 2021, 11 brothers decided to bring Theta Xi back to the University of Alabama as a colony.
